About PlayUs
We can help organize games for you

Our History
The idea for a mobile app that made it easier for coaches and clubs to organize challenge games is the brainchild of Mark O’Donovan, a West Cork GAA man. Understanding the importance of teams playing as many games as possible, Mark believed technology could assist in this task, instead of coaches using their valuable time making numerous phone calls. This vision was shared by the GAA Games Development team, who saw the potential in the technology and came on board with Mark and his team. Mark’s vision was realized in the PlayUs App “I wanted an app that I could register a team on, and when I wanted a game, blitz, or tournament I could just enter the date, time, and distance. I wanted to send the game invitation out and hey presto I would have games galore.”
PlayUs GAA, was first launched in 2017 to assist clubs to search for and arrange challenge matches, blitzes
and tournaments.

The GAA, LGFA and Camogie – like so many sporting organisations – are built on the commitment of volunteers who give their time and energy for the love of their games. Balancing work and family life is demanding, and volunteering to coach or manage a team adds another layer of responsibility.
Volunteers are the backbone of every sport played for enjoyment and community, and they deserve tools that make their roles easier.
At Play Us, our mission is to support the people who give so generously to their clubs and communities. We make it simpler to organise games, find suitable opposition and create playing opportunities, so that players can enjoy more games while volunteers spend less time on administration.
While our journey began within Gaelic games, our vision is to support volunteers across all sports, helping more teams get on the field and more games get played.
